Movado to Vizio

first page

Movado  Movado began in 1881 in La Chaux-de-faunds, Switzerland, by Achille Ditisheim. In 1899 Movado was awarded six first-class Official Rating Certificates in its class, and in the following year, awarded the Silver Medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. In 1947, American designer Nathan George Horwitt created the Museum collection. Movado has re-introduced the KingMatic series, which was originally introduced in the 1950's, and featured the first automatic movement and sweeping second hand, both driven from a central rotor. Today, the KingMatic features an all stainless steel case, stainless steel or leather bracelet, sapphire crystal, automatic movement, and is water resistant to 50 meters.

Seiko  Seiko was founded in 1881 by a clockmaker in Tokyo's Ginza District. However, it did not take on the Seiko name until 1924 with the introduction of its first wrist watch.  By 1938 yearly production was well over one million watches. Seiko's design innovations include the first quartz watch, the first LCD quartz watch with six digit display, and the first intelligent analog quartz watch with alarm and timer function. The Seiko Kinetic collection is a line of quartz watches that are electrically charged by movement. The Kinetic Auto Relay conserves energy by going into suspended mode when unworn for three days . Then, with movements of the wearer's wrist, the Seiko watch becomes active and resets itself to the exact time.
